'The Story of Bruges'

Bruges largely owes its existence and prosperity to the river 'Reie', referred to as the 'Roya' in the oldest sources. This vital waterway provides a guide for the 5th walk (6 km) on the free Visit Bruges route app. With this 'Story of Bruges' you dive into six centuries of Bruges history while strolling along the canals. Along the way, you will learn about the city walls, the bathhouses or bathing furnaces, how Bruges cloth was coloured with plants and water, and the fire streets.
