NHS partner IC24 (Integrated Care 24 LTD )are known for encouraging employees to celebrate and recognise the different attributes of people. As such they are very supportive of staff attending events such as Pride. Following from the very positive reaction they got at Ashford in Kent's 1st Pride the staff were in Norwich a few weeks later. Norwich Pride was equally a success. About 15 staff members attended, some bringing family and friends to enjoy the wonderful occasion.
Connor Warke a Team Manager at IC24 said, "What was really lovely about this pride they had the organiser, mayor and staff from the town council do a speech each before the march started. It felt very welcoming, inclusive and that we were meant to be there. We had team members from Norwich contact centre and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. "
Pride is there still to stand up for the rights of all in the LGBTQ+ community, although many members of the community who may not directly identify as LGBTQ+ also attended and enjoyed the positive atmosphere and entertainments.
Team Manager Connor explained more about how supportive his employer IC24 have been. We had team members from Norwich contact centre and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. What we have taken away from doing Ashford and Norwich this year is that we have all found it fun and beneficial to attend these local prides and also good to engage with the community around us to spread the word what we do in healthcare. Now the plans for next year.. We will see! "
