Fieldfisher Successfully Concludes High-Profile Bankruptcy Proceedings for Katie Price
Prolonged Financial Battle

Fieldfisher has successfully assisted Katie Price, the renowned media personality and businesswoman, in securing her discharge from both bankruptcies. This marks the end of a six-year period of financial challenges for Ms. Price, allowing her to focus on rebuilding her career and personal endeavours.
Katie Price, known for her extensive work in modelling, television, and publishing, faced significant financial difficulties, leading to two separate bankruptcy orders. When she was arrested for failure to comply with her obligations as a bankrupt, Fieldfisher's contentious insolvency team, led by Partner Chris Keane, stepped in to provide strategic legal support at a critical moment.
Fieldfisher worked closely with the trustee in bankruptcy and the court to restructure Price's approach to the process, ensuring her compliance while also safeguarding her mental wellbeing amid intense media scrutiny. This included securing judicial permission to conduct key proceedings in private, mitigating the pressures of public exposure.
Following Fieldfisher's intervention, Price was discharged from her first bankruptcy, which had been suspended indefinitely, on 11 February 2025. On 18 March 2025, Price's second bankruptcy was automatically discharged, marking the end of a prolonged financial battle.
Fieldfisher continues to support Price in rebuilding her financial stability, including ensuring her income arrangements align with her obligations to her trustee in bankruptcy.
Chris Keane, Contentious Insolvency Partner at Fieldfisher, said:
"We are pleased to have helped Katie resolve her financial matters so she can start to put this chapter behind her. Bankruptcy is a complex legal process with strict rules, and failing to navigate it correctly can have serious consequences. Our role was to ensure that Katie had the right legal guidance to fully engage with the process, ultimately securing an outcome that allows her to move forward with confidence."
