Chislet Brewery
Kent Micro Brewery - Superb Quality

The Chislet Brewery in Kent is a true homebrew done good, success story.
The Brewers, Lewis and John had their home brew hobby and took the plunge and went commercial. A huge risk and one that has paid off if you judge success by the taste of beer.
So, after a busy week of work, it was time to get some second opinions and have a catch-up with a couple of friends to see if they enjoyed the beer in cans from the Chislet Brewery as much as I did.
We enjoyed Coronation Ale, Nethergong and Island Road.
First up Coronation Ale which we had already enjoyed at The Thomas Tallis Ale House in Canterbury. This was the real test because, at the Ale House, it was very easy to enjoy pint.
It did not disappoint. I was expecting some difference in aftertaste, but it was not there. The pint maintained that live feeling that you enjoy from a fresh beer in an ale house. From a can I will honestly say I could easily have carried on all afternoon and got as much enjoyment had it been from the cask.
Nethergong next. The latest beer from Chislet and one I suspect that would be enjoyed by a pie-and-pint drinker. Easy on the tastebuds and did not dominate the flavours of the accompanying snacks we were enjoying.
And Finally, Island Road, a very distinctive American Pale Ale. Medium body and a fresh citrus background note. Excellent and would easily have stood on its own to rival much more expensive trendy craft beers that are commercially available. However, Chislet has not gone with a fancy price tag. It is a great distinctive brew at a fair cost.
Chislet Brewery is an independent Micro Brewery where standards have been kept as high, if not higher than other well-established brands.
