Cactus Graphics - A Kent Success Story

Cactus Graphics is a Kent success story, although their customer base extends much further across the region including London.

Cactus had a clear ambition to become Kent’s leading large format print providers.

Cactus was created out of Buckland Media following the retirement of co owners Jeremy and Linda Weaver. Realising that there was still a demand for reliable printing that could adopt modern techniques Richard Archer and Katie Weaver formed Cactus having worked for Buckland Media.



Cactus offer extensive services, including, but not limited to graphic design, print of marketing material, signage and display materials. Cactus has extended its large format provision with the use of a UV Digital Hybrid printer and CNC cutter.

Located on Tridax Business Park, Dover, Cactus Graphics a team of print and of course, graphic, specialists. Market share of in the large print format and display industry has become an increasingly significant part of the business revenue due to the investment in technology and consistently high standards of production.

Kate Weaver explained, “Having worked side by side with Richard (Archer) for many years at Buckland Media Group, both Richard and I share the same high standards of product quality, service delivery and pride ourselves on establishing long term and flexible relationships with our clients.

We are committed to carrying this company culture through to Cactus Graphics and in extending our capability in large format print, we hope to continue to attract more businesses with varied and high speed print requirements- delivered at competitive prices.“

Richard Archer explained that while commercial success is essential to Kate, him and the team there is a wider vision for Cactus Graphics, “I joined the print world when it was male dominated and had some restrictive practices that were not good for clients and workers alike. There were only five females in the team of 22 when I entered the print industry and one of those was the FD. At cactus we have a 50/50 balance of males and females with Katie Weaver as MD.”

Richard is proud that Cactus Graphics are engaging with the wider community to look for the next generation of print and graphic professionals. He is a board member at Dover College and on the wider board for another Kent success, the EKC Group. (East Kent College Group).

On the future and heritage of the company, Katie said, “I am excited to be taking the Weaver family name into the new age of design, display and large format printing and hope that in years to come my parents will be proud of what we have achieved under our own entity of Cactus Graphics.”
