European law firm Fieldfisher is delighted to announce its Berlin office move to "Cube Berlin", a cutting-edge office space and a pioneer in sustainable office architecture, situated in Washingtonplatz 3.
The new space will house Fieldfisher X, the firm's specialised business unit, which focuses on scalable legal services, customised legal tech solutions and defence of corporates against mass litigation claims. Growing to a team of more than 30 lawyers, data scientists and project managers since its launch in 2022, Fieldfisher X has developed a stellar portfolio of clients and is a go-to service for large international companies facing mass litigation claims.
It will also accommodate a new team of lawyers specialising in media and entertainment, digital commerce and IP litigation, led by partners Dr Martin Diesbach, Elisabeth Noltenius and Sascha Pres, who joined Fieldfisher in July this year.
With the arrival of this team, Fieldfisher's Berlin office is now able to offer both traditional legal advisory services as well as alternative legal options provided by Fieldfisher X. The combination has significantly enhanced Fieldfisher's local capabilities in response to client demand and is fully aligned with the firm's strategic focus. The office move itself, is a testament to the firm's exponential growth in Berlin and will support the firm's future ambitions in the German market.
In line with Fieldfisher's commitment to ESG, Cube Berlin's sustainability credentials were a key factor in the selection of the new office for the team. The use of smart technologies in this cutting-edge building, makes it possible to undercut the requirements of the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) by over 25 per cent. Around 50 per cent of the total primary energy used by the building is generated from renewable sources directly in the building. Exciting AI features enable the building to adapt to individual needs of its users, thereby increasing energy efficiency. A self-learning software, so-called "Brain", is able to evaluate the diverse data supplied by sensors and optimise the building's heating, ventilation and lighting accordingly.
Philipp Plog, Managing Partner of Fieldfisher Germany, commented: "This office move is an important step for Fieldfisher Germany, which will accommodate for our future growth in Berlin for many years to come. Choosing this extraordinary office block is hugely important too, underlining our commitment to upholding the firm's sustainability strategy. I am proud that sustainability has been our guiding principle when choosing our new offices, both in Berlin and Hamburg earlier this year."
Jan Wildhirth, Managing Director of Fieldfisher X added: "Our new Berlin office not only reflects the successful growth of Fieldfisher X, but also the general growth of our advisory services in Berlin."
Since entering the market in 2007, Fieldfisher Germany has become the fastest growing international location for the firm. Its fast succession of office openings in Hamburg (2007), Düsseldorf (2011), Munich (2011) and Frankfurt am Main (2018), Fieldfisher X (2022) has delivered consistent revenue and profit growth year on year.
